I'm a little surprised the All Stars are back on, glad to see IRA get another go around when I can see them.  Two sod shows.

I'm a little surprised the All Stars are back on....

Why is that, T.J.?  Because of the state of the All Stars w/ respect to the economy, not running a Hartford-Butler back-to-backer, or the Hartford management?

I'm guessing the first.  It's not like the last race was anything comparible to something from the 90s.  I've seen better car counts at police auctions.

Mainly the weak car count versus size of the purse.  Either way its good to have them on the schedule close to home.

My guess is Guy Webb is leasing the track to bring in the All Stars.

The All Stars just released their 2010 schedule.  Hartford Motor Speedway is NOT on it.  In fact, the whole second half of August is blank.

Following up on the All Star Race at Hartford, I see that Hartford changed the date from 8/20 to 8/27.  That won't work for me.

Nonetheless, I sent out an E-Mail to the All Stars brass to see what was up with this difference in scheduling.  We'll get to the bottom of this.   Smiley

I just got the clarifier from the ASCoC guys on the 8/27 Hartford race.  The race is a Midwest All Star Race, not an ASCoC race.  The Midwest All Stars have yet to release their 2010 schedule.

They are a sub-series of the ASCoC.  I think they just run for less cash (less races, too).  As far as I know, the series has only been around for a couple of years tops.  Most of their races were down the Southern Indiana way last year.

The Midwest All Stars have released their 2010 schedule.  Hartford is on it twice..... kind of.  The 8/27 date is their stand alone date as the only sprint series there that night, but the 5/28 date is a co-sanctioned event with the IRA Sprints.  I was hoping the latter would be a stand alone, too, so we could get one more night of sprint action.  I got excited there for a minute!

But on the up side, it can only mean more cars for the Memorial Day Weekend show.

5/1   Sat  Charter Raceway Park* Beaver Dam, WI
5/28  Fri  Hartford Motor Speedway*  Hartford, MI
5/29  Sat  Wilmot Raceway* Wilmot, WI
5/30  Sun  Quincy Raceway Quincy, IL
6/5   Sat  Charter Raceway Park* Beaver Dam, WI
6/18  Fri  Spoon River Speedway Banner, IL
6/25  Fri  Kankakee Speedway* Kankakee, IL
8/6   Fri  I-55 Raceway Pevely, MO
8/7  Sat  I-55 Raceway Pevely, MO
8/8  Sun  Quincy Raceway Quincy, IL
8/20  Fri  Bloomington Speedway Bloomington, IN
8/21  Sat  Twin Cities Raceway North Vernon, IN
8/27  Fri  Hartford Motor Speedway Hartford, MI
8/28  Sat  TBA
9/4   Sat  TBA
9/5   Sun  TBA
10/9  Sat  Lawrenceburg Speedway Lawrenceburg, IN

*denotes a Co-Sanction Event with the IRA Sprint Invaders

You can scratch the 8/27 date at Hartford.  It is off of both schedules - Midwest All-Stars and Hartford's.   Sad

Easy come easy go, I guess....
