Their tentative schedule is up and they have USAC Sprints penned in for Friday Night, August 10th. This would be the night before Hartford.

And yes..... it does say 2012 at the top.

The USAC Sprints schedule on the USAC website says nothing about it.

Maybe there WILL be a Michigan double header after all?

They will really enjoy Hartford. They have a 1/2 mile there. Ok now the sarcastic remarks have to end Doug. But really the USAC guys like 1/2 miles and Hartford is the only one in the state.

I read on another forum where Eldora has added a USAC date on July 28th.  Maybe USAC is just a little off the pace right now with updating their 2012 schedule?

So, if you can't make it to Knoxville, a USAC Michigan doubleheader just might be in the works.

Ahh... There are TBD dates on there.  I am hoping those are there for that specific reason.  Butler's schedule, too.

At this point the I-96 USAC date is up in the air or not happening.  It looked like it might happen, but not appears to be in limbo (putting it at best).

I wouldn't look for SOD at I-96 or Butler this year, but you might see a couple of different tracks once the schedule is released.

I guess cats and dogs are now getting along and this looks like it will happen more than it won't.  Awesome weekend up here!

Well, that's how it goes.  One thing about racing - it is always changing.

Now if SOD has abandoned Butler & I-96 for a couple more goes at, let's say, Crystal & Winston, that would be fine.  But if they are going to replace those two with tracks down in Ohio, well...... good for the Ohio fans, but that is starting to get out of my range.

I personally would like to see them go back to Thunderbird.  It's close to my house.  But after the mess Thunderbird made with Double-O Joe and the MTS guys a few years back, probably not an option that's on the table, I would imagine.

Run Mt. Pleasant a few times in 2012.    Wink

Thanks for the early scoop, TJ.

Maybe they will go back to the Cherry-Merritt Friday-Saturday show like years past. That was always a good time.

The schedule will be worth the wait, just a couple of dates still being sorted out.  I'm excited about some of the new venues that are going to be on there :-)

One more date to sign up before the SOD schedule becomes official.  Look for it early next week.

Hey, Bob.  If you know NOTHING, does that make TJ Klink?   Grin
