Am I wrong, or is this two-day event scheduled on the exact same two days as the Canadian Nationals at Ohsweken (9/14 & 9/15)?

WTF?  Are these two places far enough apart to warrant trying to pull the teams two ways at the same time or is someone sending a "message" to someone else?

I am really scratching my head why Waynesfield would schedule directly against the Canadian Nationals. I see Ron Hammons is one of the promoters and I am sure he is still a little bitter at Canada as he got his car stolen at the Nationals last year. I just see Waynesfield losing their butt on this big of a show. Historically they do not get big car counts and I can't see very many of the SOD guys who don't go to Canada going to run Waynesfield. Plus usually MTS is running Crystal that weekend also. I guess the other way to look at it is usually there is only 3-5 guys who come to the Nationals from Ohio.

Somewhere along the way, Waynesfield changed the date of this race.  It is now July 3rd.  That's a heck of a change!  For the better, too, I reckon.  At least for the fans.

At least it isn't going mano-o-mano with Ohsweken now.
