The Official announcement will be made later but the news is huge for the ASCT group and the Michigan Sprint Car community. The ASCT non-wing series will be competing on the new 3/8 mile at I96 Speedway on July 31,2010. We are close to getting a date with another track for July 30 the night before to make it a double header weekend. We are very excited about running in Michigan and we are also honored to be headed to I96. The pay out be $1200 to win, $225 to start and a $100 guaranteed tow money. The July 30th race will have the same pay out.

Wow, wishing I hadn't planned on being out of town that weekend for the x-treme deal.  Hopefully the Friday race will be on the way down to that!

What new 3/8 mile?  The outer (big) track  or the inner (little) track.  I thought one was a 1/2 mile and one was a 1/4 mile.  Is I-96 reconfiguring one, or the other, or both?

I-96 has done more modifications to the 3/8's track on the inside of the 1/2 mile. I believe I read that all I-96 weekly races are going to be on the 3/8's and only special events on the 1/2 mile.

Very good.  Thank you.  I'll be looking forward to it on either track.  One of the best All Star races I ever saw was on the infield track about 15 years ago.  It rained hard that day, and the big track wasn't prepared, so they improvised and ran the small track.
