In line with this week's poll question, how many laps should the Knoxville Nationals A-Main be?  I'm more a traditionalist and think 30 or 40, and that 50 is too long.  Thoughts?

I'm with you, T.J.  A sprint race should not have "planned" competition red flags for pit stops.

However, Doug would be the man to answer this.  He goes every year and has a lot vested in the race.

Of course, we are just fans.  I's like to see what the racers and teams think.

Wow. Still trrying to get my back to work legs. Knoxville was amazing!! Great racing and awesome weather. My answer to the question...50. I never thought i would like the format either, but last year they started it and continued it this year.Lets face it. The Goodyear tires would not last 30 laps anyway so stop them between laps 25-30 for tires and fuel. My thoughts last year was to run the bigger cell, put Hoosiers on and run them 40 laps. But then again. I'm just a fan too.

They are sprint cars not sprintcup. If you don't get the setup right to begin with or enough fuel in too bad for you. If tires don't hold up, shorten the race.

Just say NO to pit stops !

I say bigger tanks, Better tire, (you know they can make one), and 50 laps
