hey tj, what is this surprise news that you talk about for the up coming All-Star show at Butler.  Read in your blog that you know something.  With the show one week away, its time to let the cat out of the bag!

I enjoy guessing what is up TJ's sleeve of information.  I do know that Jessica Z has Butler on her schedule to run and the car owner is just up the road at MIS.  Considering his history this year at other tracks near NASCAR race locations, I say where there is "Smoke", there may be fire.

What do you say TJ.....am I close?

Maybe Kahne also?  Would be nice to see a couple big names there!  Not sure how many Ohio cars will show up because Attica has changed there schedule to run a FAST show on Saturday!  Either way hopefully Butler will pull some fans from MIS to show Bob Garrett that there is money to be made when a traveling series is scheduled!

I'm hoping Mudclod Bob will (can) come limping into town for the race.

First off none of you are even close.   Details are being finalized this week and I'll have a plan of attack.  If you follow http://www.twitter.com/tjslideways you'll find out on race day :-)

Not sure on any "visitors" for this week.   Tony and Kasey seem to pick and choose their spots carefully.  I just don't see Butler on that short list, but I could be wrong.

As for Mudclodbob, I might try and truck him to Spartan on Friday if he's feeling up to it.  Right now with his leg immobilized traversing Butler's stands or pit area doesn't seem like a good idea.  That doesn't mean he won't do it though :-)

...I should mention though that Knoxville is off this week as is Fremont, but Attica is racing.  I wouldn't be surprised to see a different visitor or two you wouldn't normally see at Butler outside of the All Star drivers.

But...with the WoO in North Dakota and South Dakota this weekend, i see most Knoxville regulars traveling North instead of East!  Anyone in contention to win the FAST Series will be at Attica!

I forgot about the WoO show and the Jackson Nationals.  I still think the Butler carrot will draw a few cars though.

IMO, this is still a stretch, as it was when I first heard it up at Winston a few weeks ago when SOD raced there:

This Friday, the WoO Late Models are at Winston.  Some of the fans at Winston a few weeks ago were hinting that Tony Stewart might jump in a late model for that event.  The next night they are up at Merritt.  Maybe they are saying/hoping the same?

I kind of winced when I heard that, but hey...... you never know.

On a sidebar, too bad AVSS picked this Saturday to race at South Bend.  I can only be in one place at a time.

South Bend just got wacked.  So your choices are USAC D1/Ford Focus/Young Guns at Kalamazoo (not many cars), All Stars at Butler, Super Modifieds at Flat Rock, MTS at Waynesfield, weekly show at Attica, Must-See at Anderson (Wincehster the next day), or ASCS SOD in Canada.

Too bad for AVSS & SBMS.  I wasn't going anyways.  I was Butler bound from the start.

Just an FYI, I have a couple of blogs coming up this week about the Spartan Speedway sprint cars and a feature on Chris Jones, sprint car driver at Butler leading into the big weekend.  If I have time I might try and put something together about the return of Super Modifieds to Flat Rock and the big 1/4-midget race at Kalamazoo.
