Wow.
Too say the track was too fast, where do you come up with that? I-96 is not that fast of a track on it's best day. The WoO run tracks that are much faster on their worst days. Nice try to dis-credit them though.
The fact that an ambulance got stuck, on the race track, or that the tow truck dug 18" deep ruts in the track, had nothing to do with their decision to postpone? The track, as well as the pits, were horrid.
What were they suppose to do anyway? Do you seriously think they wanted to leave, and come back another day, only to cost them thousands of dollars in travel expenses? Umm, yea, that makes sense. Now they get to tow from North Carolina, to Michigan, and back to Kansas. That sounds like something they would want to do. Oh ya, Kansas is one of those tracks that will make I-96 look like a powder puff race. That place is fast.
Who do you seriously think came out ahead in this deal? The race teams? Nope. The WoO? Nope. They lose travel expeses, plus saleries. How about the promoters? Not them either. They still hold the money, and pay the lease, but have no show to offer yet. Wait, how about the track owners? Ya, the same ones that charged $20 to camp with no notice to anyone. Plus consessions for the night.
Sorry, but no one was a winner in this deal. It would have made much more sense to stay and race. It sure would have been alot cheaper. Too fast? Laughable.
