I'll ask the obvious question...
What's the purse for the "Renegade Racing Pro Sprint Series"?

Thanks for the segway, Gavin. I'll ask the next set of obvious questions:
Winged or non-winged? It they are winged...... great. Just what we need - a series competing with SOD for dates and drivers. Unless someone gets smart here and doesn't schedule races on the same nights. Then it's win-win.
Where are these guys based out of?

I googled it and it is some 305 series in the Southwest! LOL I guess you can put this along with a Winged Midgets that are on the Owendale schedule running each month. Mystery series are popping up everywhere.

Some of the initial information is coming in, and some of this is still being ironed out. I'll have some more details, I'm just waiting for a couple of e-mails and phone calls back.

Renegade Sprints aside, I see that by the way the dates are laid out, they are specific as to whom is running on the half mile on that given night. Apparently SOD is going to run the little track. Probably for the better.

What I heard was;
Winged
No conflicting dates with SOD
purse is a little more top heavy than SOD, and has its own points fund
there are more details that i will not go into, maybe TJ can share what he finds out

not to stray too far from the pertinent subject matter,,,,but here's my question.....The AMA Pro website has a AMA Pro Flattrack National listed for I-96 on July 16th....the I-96 a race schedule has no such listing......they have a race on 7-16, but it's not for bikes...the only bikes I see listed are D-14 events, not the AMA National Pro Tour......
any insite? from the insiders? anyone heard anything?

The long awaited blog on the topic.... http://www.tjslideways.com/?p=14322There are still some details to work out including some of the other races. Some of the events at other tracks could still be sanctioned by ASCS SOD. It's kind of an unusual situation, but one that appears to be good since there won't be any overlapping dates. Basically Barry Miles is a really big sprint car fan. Not a bad problem to have :-)

From what I understand from talking to the principals involved, the 13th date is actually the correct one.

If all of the parties work together (like I hope) this can only be good. South Bend Motor Speedway is boasting the same type of thing. They are running a few open sprint races, but on their forum the owner of the track is wanting as much input from drivers as he can get. He doesnt want to book dates on top of dates at other places. It's thinking like this that will set us up for a good 2011 season throughout the land, unlike the thinking of the IRL which REALLY "set us up" for some (ahem) good seasons throughout the land. Thanks for the info, T.J.
