Hey, T.J.  Maybe you can answer this one.

It seems like in the middle of the feature, around Lap 14, or so, there were cautions after cautions for cars sliding off or spinning.  Beaner and I noted that one time, the caution flag flew, but it didn't seem like anything happened on the track.  The cars puttered around for only a couple of laps and then went back to green.

Was there a slight miscue?  Not that it mattered anyways....  Anyone else notice this?

I can't.  I think it was explained over the radio, but I'm not quite sure myself...

We were just talkin about that this morning. Couldn't figure it out either. Thought maybe they were going to take a time out to fix the sound system but nope, that wasn't it........

Yep, I noticed it too.  Was wondering what the deal was with that caution.  I thought maybe they wanted the SOD guys (Dagget) to catch back up.

It was also a little fishy why they didn't let Sauder back out onto the track when there wasn't anything obvious wrong with the car.

That one I can explain.  The white flag was out, and that's when the push lane was closed.  There was nothing wrong with the car.   (I got to hear that discussion up close after the feature).

...I did some asking around (since I was more in a hurry to get out of the rain at Butler rather than ask about this stuff) and the caution was triggered by some radio chatter between the officials, and the flagman thought someone was calling for a caution.  So no NASCAR phantom caution, just a hiccup.

Thanks, T.J.  Not only are you a top shelf announcer, but a pretty good amateur detective, too.  Nice gumshoe work.

And I agree, we cannot chalk this one up to a NASCAR-type caution.  For one, Dale Earnhardt, Jr, was not about to be lapped.

Ya, I can see this. You would be amazed at what some people will say on the radio at times. Then, when you have 20 sprint cars flying around under you, the flagman has to try and decipher what was said, and very quickly.

Not the first time and it won't be the last time.  Good racing thru out the night.  Aaron Smith is starting to look pretty impressive.  Also Congrats to Hortsman on the win!  Didn't know he was a Butler regular though!  lol
