Ok race fans Here are two weekends back to back where you get to see some of the best racin of the summer. Hartford on the 12th. then Butler on the 13th. Then....Cherry speedway on the 18th and I96 on the 19th. And all brought to you by our own ASCS Sprints On Dirt series. I for one can't make the Hartford show but the camper is loaded and ready for the other three races. If you have not had the chance to visit Cherry you are really missin out. The Sprints put on an awesome show there. Can't wait. Anyone else in? Mike? Bob?Nerfie?

Hey Doug, I'm planning on Hartford Friday and I'm heading to Berlin to cover the USAC Sprint/Midget show Saturday. The following week probably Cherry and I-96 for sure.

I have a an almost new pop up we seldom use in the summer. Maybe I'll drag it around a bit this year. Or I always have a Coleman tent with me too. I usually head for motels so I can post results, but I like staying at the tracks.

Maybe I'll set up the tee pee near you some weekend.

I'm in for all.  After tomorrow, I'm off until the 28th.

Hartford this Friday, Butler Saturday, & the Darland Memorial at Kokomo Sunday.

I planned on taking in all of the All Star's Ohio Sprint Week, but my wife has to work Saturday the 19th.  I don't feel like camping in Bucyrus by myself, so, I am going to blow off the first two races at Attica & KC & pick the tour up Sunday in Findlay.  This will free me up for the Cherry/I-96 double.

I've never been to Cherry for a race.  I've BEEN there, just driving by up to Traverse City, but there was nothing going on.  I just got out and "browsed", so to speak.

I'll see you guys where I see you.  You're easy to find!  I'm looking forward to a full throttle June!

Dang. You boys ARE hard core. There is a campground not far from Cherry. It is Spring Lake state forest campgroundright on us131 at the train cross over in Fife Lake. It is not fancy by any means but a place to put up the pop-up and enjoy a camp fire post race. I will be sure to hook up with you boys the next two weekends.Be safe.

Oh yeah, forgot about Kokomo Sunday. I also plan on a couple Ohio Speed Week shows and two or three Indiana Midget week shows.

Hey drdoug and stevensville mike......look to get to Butler tonight and would like to look up some fellow TJSlideways Sprint car fans.  Where do you normally sit?  I hang out up higher between turn 4 and the flagstand and will wear my Chad Blonde shirt.  I will try and track you down.

SOD shows at Butler rock and usaully have good excitement.  Hope to catch up with you there!

That's about where I usually sit.  I'll wear my Hoosier Tire hat and a red polo shirt, so I'll stick out a little.

Do you know if Chad Blonde going to race tonight or is going to help out the 1R team again (like last night)?  You throw him in the mix with Daggett, Sauder, & Mackey and we might have something for the highlight reel tonight.

Hey Beaner sounds good to me. I usually plop my butt down in turn 1, (also known as "The gravel pit" at I96) but tonight i may have to venture down to the higher class seats. It's the bright green 2006 Knoxville Nationals T for me. Hope none of my X'es are there. Shirt sticks out like a, well you know. And please folks don't mistake me for one of the track crew. Mike, you may need to wash the purple back into that hat. Last time at Hartford it got pretty dirty so i imagine last night wasn't much different. Leaving now for the day so see you all at the Battlegrounds.

I'll find you, Doc.  No prob.

Looking at the forecast, though, there is a BIG front moving in.  Right now it's just west of Chicago.   Sad

Let's hope it gets broken up, eh?  It can't be worse than last Saturday eve.  I nearly woke up with a bunch of little guys telling me to follow the yellow brick road....

Not sure about Chad in the car tonight. I know couple weeks back Chad was going to run 360 show at Gas City and it was rained out. Sean then was in the seat for I-96 WOO.  My fingers are crossed that with Sean running last night that it is show tme for Chad!

Hope to see you guys there.

Hartford wasn't too bad last night.  The track looked better than it did for the IRA race they last had there.  I got more grubby cooking the brats.  I forgot to bring wipes & napkins.  All I had was an old sweatshirt that wound up doubling as a tablecoth & serviette!

But hey, it was Hartford for crying out loud!

Thanks for the Blonde info, Beaner.  I'm looking forward to it tonight.  Hopefully we should have a bigger field with all of the Butler regulars more than likely being on hand.

Grubaugh & Dalman had good runs last night.  Mann started off slow, but made the best of it & wound up with a good finish.  Hopefully all of them can have good goes tonight, too.

Hey "DD". Sorry I defected to Berlin for the USAC sprints and midgets. Low car count, (18 each) but a pretty good show. Guess all the "stars" got in my eyes but, as usual, only a couple of them figured the place out.

Got a wedding on Friday but I might just might see you on Saturday and bring my little tent. Last night was my first damn race of the season. All this moving and stuff going on has pretty much consumed us. We really like our new place so I guess all the work is worth it.

Anyway keep and eye out for me at I-96 and save me a place to park my butt.

Later...

I am headed north soon. Going to sit around a blazin camp fire tonight and sip an adult beverage. Cherry Friday, I96 Saturday. Please rain gods. Go play somewhere else. Some serious Sprint Car Racin is about to happen. Fast Eddie. Hope to see you this weekend.
