Due to heavy overnight rains that has flooded the grounds of the Kokomo Speedway, racing has been canceled for tonight. The Bob Darland Memorial will be made up next Sunday night June 13th.

I was headed for Kokomo but didn't get far before I found out they cancelled.

Hey Mike, hope you made it through the storm ok. I heard there was some damage down your way.

Hey Mike, hope you made it through the storm ok. I heard there was some damage down your way.
I started out for Butler last night and got about 6-7 miles, myself, and realized it was going to be a lost cause and headed back.

We had a tornado come through sometime during the night about four miles south of where we live (just north of Baroda).  The biggest damage looked like a barn roof tossed here and there and a little beauty shop (demolished).  Power lines down everywhere and poles and trees snapped off midway up.  It's impressive what a twister can do.  I was driving around rubbernecking this afternoon.

I don't think anyone around here was hurt or killed, though, so we'll hang our hats on that.  Thanks for inquiring about us nonetheless.  It's appreciated.

With the Bob Darland Memorial getting rained out, this plays into my hands - I can make it next Sunday!
