Great show at T-Bird, Joe!  I thoroughly enjoyed it, and talking with you pre-race, and was bummed out that I couldn't make it to Crystal.

I think (note: "think") I met all of the Irwins finally, too.   Grin

I also enjoyed talking with Joe Bares, Sr., as he told me of Joe Bares, Jr.'s plans for 2010 and John Watson (a.k.a. Johnny Demonic), from Canada, explaining to me his plans and routines for racing with the MTS bunch.  A good group of guys.  All we needed was an announcer that could pronounce names.  T.J., where WERE you?  We could have used you!

Maybe TJ can be talked into doing a guest appearance some night. How about it TJ?

Sorry, TJ has an exclusivity contract with the "on wing" group.  Wink

If I went to an MTS show this year I'd be more likely to want to just be "reporter TJ' and not "announcer" TJ for a night so I could kick back and enjoy the show and write about it afterwords.  Flattering though.

BTW, I'm sure Roger and Trevor were more that adequate at Crystal.  I haven't been to T-bird in a while, so I'm not sure who is doing that gig.

I didn't catch his name, but he and the other announcer were talking about how he ran a Late Model the night before at Hartford.  So, he's a driver.

I'll cut him some slack this time, but.....

....Mike Galadja was "Mike GAL-a-da".  After awhile, he piped up on the mike and said, "Whoa, there is a "j" in his name!  Must be "GAL-a-JAY-da".

Mike Astrauskas was "Mike Australia-kiss" (or something like that), and Ernie Kuehneman was simply "Ernie....uh.......uhhhh... (insert dysfunctional chuckle)..... uhhhh".

For crying out loud, he mis-pronounced Don SMITH!  He called him JOHN Smith!

How hard is it to go down to the driver's meeting, listen in, and ask the drivers, or the teams, how the names are pronounced?   Only cost me an extra 5 bucks and I don't even work there.

Still a good time, though!  One for the memory banks!   Grin

I don't know if i did anybetter than anyone else, but I thought that the MTS guys put on one Hell of a show.  Good close racing with a pass on the last lap.

what more can a person ask for?
