We have some pretty bright people in here, so I'm going to throw this open to you for ideas.  Who do you think made the best contribution to the sport of sprint car racing in 2009?  I have some ideas, but I just want to throw it out there to see if someone might thing of a person or group that I missed.  Remember to think Nationally, not just regionally.

Okay.... nationally thinking.....

For the runner-up, I'll give it to Brian France of NASCAR.  Knoxville decided to have refueling pit stops this year at the Nationals.  Where else would they have gotten such a "marvel" idea from other than NASCAR themselves?  So, by getting a class act like Knoxville to roll over to their way of thinking, The NASCAR CEO gets the nod in this case.

For the top spot, though, I'll give that one to Mother Nature for trying to put the Nationals out of their misery this year by raining on their parade.  Yeah, they got the races in the next day, but at least I didn't have to torture myself watching it live on SPEED Channel.

Not a bad choice, Mark....

How about TJ?  He runs the website for us, keeps us abreast of news, lets us have a forum to banter about whatever topic we choose, and in his own words, come race day, he is a "poor man's Johnny Gibson" with the mike.

So TJ, I rescind my earlier vote.  You are more powerful than Mother Nature.
