Thanks for sharing this.....good stuff!  Glad to see Hartford on the climb up and good for you being in that neck of the woods.  I have been to Hartford many times and took in the ALMS show last year.  With Butler dropping the late models last year, it was good to see a few of them running at Hartford.  I will try and look you up this year at the track when I am out and about this season.  I hit 15-20 shows a year with many of them in Michigan and I am a faithful reader of TJ!!

I'll keep in touch come racing time, beaner.  I only hit Hartford when the sprints are there now.  I used to go weekly, when they ran open sprints, but those days are gone.  If I want open sprints, I now hit either Butler or Kokomo.

I'm easy to spot at the track, though.  I'll be sittiing on a blanket, next to a cooler, wearing a hat.

I guess I WON'T be sitting next to a cooler this year at Hartford.  I heard this down at Ridge & Kramer this morning, and then got it off of the Hartford website:

------------

Bring Your Own Alcohol No Longer Permitted

Due to liquor license laws Hartford Motor Speedway will no longer be allowing spectators to bring their own alcohol into the grandstands. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this brings, however we will be providing alcohol at a very good price.

------------

No weekly sprints, now no weekly beer.  This is not progress in my world.  But, it's not my world totally.
