From Charles Krall: BROWNSBURG, Ind. -- USAC National Midget Car Series points leader Bobby East entered all three USAC sanctioned events last weekend at Nazareth Speedway, and walked away with two top-three finishes in the 30-mile Midget feature and the 100-mile Weld Racing Silver Crown Series feature. Mechanical difficulties sidelined East in the 30-mile USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series feature, knocking East from the top-5 within shouting distance from the end and resulting in a 17th-place finish.

The feature will pay $2000. to win and $200 to start. Everyone not making the show will get the MSCS tow money of $100. Tri-State Speedway has had top fields of cars with the first three MSCS shows in 2004. Hud Cone, last years MSCS Champion won the National Championship event on August 8th at Tri-State. Kevin Briscoe and Bud Kaeding were the other two feature winners this season.

From Bob Cundiff: Mother Nature rained out a Mid American visit this past Saturday but as a result, the series and the track management have decided to give it another shot and hope that the third time is the charm. With the date set for Saturday, September 4th, the race will again see a larger purse than the usual Mid American payout and will once again offer $3,000 to win. The remainder of the top five will also see increases from the norm with second paying $1,500, third $1,100, $1,000 awaits the fourth place finisher and fifth place will receive $850.
